Name Writing

Have your child practice writing his or her first name making sure to use an upper case letter for the first letter and lower case letters for the rest. Some fun ways to practice name writing are:

• rainbow write - use crayons, colored pencils, or paint to write each letter of their name in a different color

• shaving cream - smooth out shaving cream on a baking pan or table and allow child to practice writing name in the cream

• salt/sand - practice writing name in salt or sand on a tray or outside

• chalk - use chalk to practice writing their name
