At this time of year we would like students to draw a picture and write a 3-4 word sentence to go with it. Below are some things to remember when helping your child write:

  • Students should be writing one to two sounds per word. Please note students will typically write the strongest sound they hear, for example 'because' might be spelled 'bcz'.

  • Vowels tend to be tougher to learn/hear.

  • When writing word wall words please have your child use the word cards we send home weekly to spell them. DO NOT have your child sound out word wall words.
