Kid Writing - Beginning Stage

At this time of year we would like students to draw a picture and write a 3-4 word sentence to go with it. Below are some things to remember when helping your child write:
Students should be writing one to two sounds per word. Please note students will typically write the strongest sound they hear, for example 'because' might be spelled 'bcz'.
Vowels tend to be tougher to learn/hear.
When writing word wall words please have your child use the word cards we send home weekly to spell them. DO NOT have your child sound out word wall words.
